Principal Due Diligence Consultant/ Team Leader Renewable Energy

You will be leading on a range of prestigious renewable energy projects, undertaking due diligence typically for sale and acquisition purposes.
You will be leading a small team of specialists which is set for further growth, which you will play a central part in developing.

Already well-established in the renewable energy market, they have identified a key and strategic opportunity for an experienced due diligence specialist to take on a Team Lead role as part of their ambitious growth plans going forward.
My client is looking for someone to lead their technical advisory team, with a strong focus on renewable energy assets mainly wind and solar.
It is anticipated that the person would have a minimum of 6 years relevant experience and come with a proven track record in delivering similar type work.
The individual will need to be market facing, able to establish relationships with relevant stakeholders and organisations. You will also need to be able to manage a small team of motivated staff.

Person Specification
Specifically, your knowledge and experience will include, but not be limited to, the following areas:
• Knowledge of different wind turbine systems from small to MW sized turbines, and experience of site inspections;
• Knowledge of the development and construction process for wind projects;
• SCADA monitoring systems for different wind technologies;
• Knowledge of other forms of low and zero carbon technologies would be beneficial, especially solar and battery systems;
• Data analysis for monthly reporting;
• Knowledge of system design and associated market leading software packages;
• Overview and support of the management of all invoicing and revenue for contracted assets
• Knowledge of the UK planning systems;
• Experience of liaising with PPA providers, insurers and all potential stakeholders; and
• HSE procedures and standards.
• Knowledge and experience of wind modelling software such as WindFarmer or windPRO would be beneficial.
You should be commercially aware and experienced in business development and the preparation of financial proposals. Ideally you will have an established understanding of, and contact network, with renewable developers, investors and banks within the sector.
