We require a full-time specialist who will support a confidential client's global safety offering by performing due diligence building safety evaluations of new and existing work locations.

The Technical Building & Fire Safety Engineer will provide technical advice on both new and existing buildings and buildings undergoing refurbishment in respect to fire and other building safety measures. The role will be vital in protecting life, property and the wider environment from the risk and effects of fire. The role will also include the broader review of building codes to help ensure that properties meet local and industry legislative requirements.

The Technical Building & Fire Safety Engineer play a leading role in helping the team to develop new global life safety standards which provide clear expectations whilst remaining locally relevant. The role will require broad experience of working across multiple geographic markets and a credible knowledge of international building and fire safety codes.

There are two available roles here. The first is London based delivering International projects, the second would need to be based locally out of Asia-Pacific in Singapore, India, the Philippines or Australia.

Qualifications & Skills:

* Qualified Fire Safety / Building Services Engineer with extensive fire safety assessment experience
* Experience of working globally across multiple countries, risk assessing a wide range of commercial office buildings, small and large, old and new (mixed-use commercial buildings and warehouse facilities may also be in scope)
* Chartered Membership of relevant industry bodies is preferred (i.e. IFE, IOSH IIRSM)
* Technical FM and Mechanical and Electrical Engineering experience would also be advantageous in this role

In terms of time allocation for the UK role, there's likely to be a slightly more focussed level of engagement initially establishing some policies, procedures and assessing sites in view with the remaining days to be spread out across a mix of an allocated day each month and the rest being called off as hours through the year as required.

This is a retainer and contract role that will ramp up over the coming years. Ideal for a fire safety engineering specialist looking to add a major global client to the portfolio. Call Dominic on 020 7960 2551 for more details.
