Are you a sustainability consultant in the first 5 years of your career? An opportunity has just arisen for an enthusiastic candidate to join a growing team at an independent mid-sized consultancy, specialising in BREEAM assessments alongside wider sustainability strategies such as circular economy developments and whole life cycle carbon assessments.
You will be joining a national building services consultancy based in Solihull who specialise in the design of energy solutions into existing and new buildings. You will be joining a team of around 15 experienced consultants, with a generous salary and competitive benefit scheme to complement.
The role will be focused around delivering BREEAM and wider sustainability assessments across the education, residential, commercial and healthcare sectors on a range of sustainability projects.
About the Role & Company:
Depending on your grade, as a graduate sustainability consultant, you will be joining a growing sustainability team to support their varied workload. Focused around undertaking BREEAM assessments and conducting BREEAM workshops, there will be plenty of training involved to support an enthusiastic sustainability graduate taking their first step into consultancy.
As a sustainability consultant, you will be liaising with clients, providing design advice and guidance where necessary. You will be reviewing BREEAM evidence and preparing BREEAM reports for submission to the BRE. There will also be the opportunity to get involved in producing Low Zero Carbon energy feasibility and Passive Design Analysis reports.
Another element of the role would be working holistically on the variety of sustainability strategies, these include BREEAM assessments, LEED assessments, circular economy strategies, and whole life cycle carbon assessments.
Furthermore you will work on health & wellbeing projects including incorporating FITWELL into projects.
To be successful in this role you will have;
* BSc/ BEng (or equivalent) in a sustainability/ environmental/ energy/ building services related discipline
* MSc in related discipline (desirable but not necessary)
* Strong Holistic Understanding of Sustainability
* Relevant work experience within BREEAM/Sustainability is desirable
* Good technical report writing skills
* Good communication skills
* Attention to detail
* A passion for sustainability in the built environment
