The researcher will be based at the Bristol BioEnergy Centre, under the direction of prof. Ioannis Ieropoulos. The work will be focused in the field of microbiology, aiming to support the Urinetricity project, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, with the aim to develop microbial fuel cells into a mature sustainable energy technology with a direct application into practical field applications.
Have a Masters level qualification and have registered for, or are willing to register for a PhD
Be able to demonstrate how to conduct research using appropriate research techniques and implement new research methods;
Possess sufficient breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline
Be skilled in effectively analysing and interpreting research outcomes to generate outcomes.
