Job title: Consultant Ecologist
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Are you an ecologist looking for a chance to:
* Engage in major projects across the UK, particularly urban development and regeneration?
* Further your career in one of the best-regarded multidisciplinary consultancies?
* Develop yourself professionally in a structured environment?
Now's your chance! You'll join a team of multidiscipline professionals who have an excellent market place reputation as they work to bolster their ecology presence in the south east.
In the short term, you'll undertake a range of protected species and habitat surveys, desk-based research and associated reporting. These could feed into Due Diligence investigations, EIA, HRAs and more. You will also have the opportunity to undertake some client-facing responsibilities and liaise with wider project teams.
The nature of the team is such that there is scope to get involved in other disciplines, so if you'd like to develop your EIA knowledge for example, or broadened your experience into the wider environmental field and take on a varied role, then there is scope for that too.
Experience from a range of areas can be drawn upon to undertake this role, but as a minimum you'll have 1 years' experience in a consultancy setting. Experience of working as an ECoW in a construction environment, along report-writing skills are also advantageous. You'll also be familiar with CIEEM EcIA guidelines and with UK conservation guidelines.
