Looking for an Ecological career outside of the multi-disciplinary consultancy machine? This role could be for you!

Our client provide landscape and design advise to deliver some of the UK's largest residential schemes (key projects include three 6000+ dwelling developments across the midlands) and are now looking to develop their service offering to include in house ecology services.

As an Assistant or Consultant Ecologist you will contribute to the wider team, taking a collaborative approach to work to team up with the landscape architects to ensure a holistic approach.

You will have the opportunity to play a key role in the development of the ecological service offering, as the company look to provide even more environmental services for their future clients.

The role?

Assistant or Consultant Ecologists in this company will work closely with landscape and urban design specialists to lead and manage a busy and varied workload. As part of your role you'll have the opportunity to get out and about, undertaking protected species surveys and assessments, Phase 1 habitat surveys and ecological Clerk of Works/Watching briefs. You will sometime be required to take the lead with client liaison.

To be successful in this post you'll have an ecological degree (or related) with some experience, either seasonal or permanent, in ecological consultancy. In terms of other experience, the client are open-minded about this appointment, but they are looking for an individual who shares their way of thinking and attitude to project delivery.
