Job title: Assistant Flood Risk Modeller

Location: Reading

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000

Job Summary:

| Industry leading Times Top 100 company | "Consultancy of the Year" |

| Diverse, national projects | Collaborative nature |

| Extensive expertise in the office - great opportunities for learning and development |

Responsibilities:

You will join the main hub of the Water Management team in Reading and collaborate with colleagues across a network of UK offices. The team has a varied project pipeline and you'll have the opportunity to undertake analysis in support of infrastructure, regeneration and new development projects.

You will develop your modelling skillset, applying technical expertise to deliver projects to the Environment Agency and local flood authority clients, as well as private sector clients such as our country's leading housing developers.

About You:

Degree educated in a relevant discipline, you will have prior experience in the environmental consultancy field, more than likely in a Water Management discipline. Training is provided, but you will have experience in 1D/2D river modelling software such as ISIS, HEC-RAS or Infoworks.

You'll be working very closely with consultant colleagues to deliver flood risk assessments and hydrological aspects of EIAs so knowledge of these aspects of consultancy would be beneficial once in post.

One of the main attractions in joining this team is that your strengths will be recognised, and training provided to upskills any current gaps in your Water management knowledge. Your experience utilising 1D/2D modelling software will stand you in good stead to hit the ground running in the team whilst you work with colleagues to develop your expertise in EIA, Flood Risk Assessment, Sustainable drainage and surface water management.
