Our client in the North West of England is recruiting for a Public Protection Manager to manage and develop all functions within the Public Protection Service in accordance with statutory requirements and in keeping with Directorate/Council policies and objectives to start in May.
They are recruiting for someone to actively lead and manage the public protection team, during the existing post holder’s absence on Maternity leave, so as to ensure the delivery of services to safeguard the health and wellbeing of communities and service users.
Applicants must be educated to advanced degree level and qualified and registered with corporate voting membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. You must have extensive post qualification experience in managing staff engaged in Environmental Health or related work within a local authority. You must have demonstrable experience in leading, managing and developing services within regulatory services environment and be able to demonstrate evidence of contract management.
Ideally the client is looking for someone that can work 5 days per week, but will consider applications from individuals that are able to work on a part time basis.
