Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
As an Ecological consultant you will be responsible for preliminary ecological appraisals, protected species surveys, including bat surveys and mitigation and the production of ESPM licence applications. Your role will involve managing and fulfilling individual contracts, in order to deliver high quality consultancy services within budgets/deadlines. Your brief will also include leading and co-ordinating surveys, compiling and reviewing reports and liaising with clients, contractors and colleagues. Candidates interested in mentoring others will also have the opportunity to advise and help with the development of more junior team members.
Qualifications / Experience:
* An appropriate degree qualification;
* Have a minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience, including fieldwork AND reporting experience.
* Excellent knowledge of UK and relevant European environmental legislation;
* Be eligible for Associate Membership (or above) of CIEEM.
