Background:

As part of ongoing expansion, we are supporting a remediation contractor in their search for a Remediation Engineering for their Essex office.

You'll join a team who deliver solutions on a diverse range of projects from small fuel spills right through to large multi-technology remediation of brownfield sites.

You'll play a supporting role in the start-up, execution and delivery of projects for clients who include developers, environmental consultants, local authorities and industry. With colleagues in Bristol you will work collaboratively to deliver projects across the south of the UK, using a variety of in-situ and ex-situ remediation measures. Current project pipeline includes projects in London, Nottingham and Portsmouth.

Your role:

You'll be joining a well-established and experienced team to work on all aspects of remediation, on site and from the office.

In the field you'll undertake site work, including verification sampling, set up and commissioning of treatment systems. You'll play a key role in communicating with subcontractors and on site personnel, to ensure projects are implemented safely and within specified timeframes.

You will support site managers on technical aspects of remediation projects and ensure clear liaison with clients, consultants & regulators at all stages of the project. Verification reporting will also form part of your role, as will peer review, so experience in these areas is desirable.

About you:

To be successful in post you'll be a great communicator, with experience of liaising onsite with different teams. You will also have;

* A Degree in a relevant field
* Previous experience in a contaminated land / remediation discipline, within a consultancy or contractor environment.
* Working knowledge of a range of remedial technologies including asbestos in soil and the CL:AIRE Definition of Waste.
* A valid driving licence.
