A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Associate/Technical Director with significant industry experience to join this highly regarded consultancy in London.
JSM are working exclusively with this prestigious firm to source a highly-established and well-regarded individual who will play a leading role in delivering major projects. You'll be part of the Senior Management team, working closely with the unit director where your input will be required for the business planning and strategy
By joining the team at this time of significant growth, this opportunity offers you the potential to manage a portfolio of high profile projects across sectors such as rail, highways, ports, airports, power plants to oil and gas developments. You will be expected to lead the environmental input from preliminary planning through to feasibility, design and construction working with high profile clients.
You will be applying your environmental knowledge and expertise whilst collaboratively working with internal and external clients.
You will have proven track record in a similar multidisciplinary environment. In return, you can expect to receive a highly attractive salary and rewards package.
·Working with the board on strategy and business planning
·Preparing major project bids
·Effective leadership skills
·Proven record of winning work and nurturing and managing client expectations
·Demonstrative experience of technically reviewing EIA/EISA/ESHIA
·Leading bids and proposals
·Experience of managing budgets is essential
·Project managing multidisciplinary environmental teams
·Preparing Environmental Statements and preparation of EIA screening
·Client facing on projects and demonstrative experience of business development
·Excellent technical report writing
·Co-ordinating work of engineers/contractors and other environmental technical specialists
·A relevant degree in an environmental science
·Work in transportations, renewable energy, port developments and electrical connections would be advantageous
·You will have chartered status with a relevant professional body.
·Minimum of 10 years plus professional experience with an in depth practical knowledge and experience, ideally of infrastructure projects.
·Excellent knowledge of the UK and EU environmental regulatory framework.
·Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences.
·Experienced at drafting EIAs and managing the preparation of specialist topic chapters.
·Excellent client relationships building skills.
·Experience of working in multi-disciplinary, multicultural international teams would be a distinct advantage.
