A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Principal/Associate Director for a Drainage and Flood Risk specialist to join a highly regarded independent consultancy within their established team in Sheffield.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and motivated. This is a lively and ambitious team and they work on a wide range of projects throughout the UK, from large-scale infrastructure projects to housing developments. The successful candidate will take the lead in the flood risk and drainage team. You will have extensive experience in FRA's and drainage strategies and design. This is the ideal role for someone who is working at a senior/prinicpal level and looking for a step up in their career.
The role will involve:
*Producing FRAs and drainage strategies
*Producing drainage impact assessments, drainage strategies and detailed designs
*Providing surface water management plans as well as flood evacuation plans
*Writing tenders and quotes
*Supporting the Technical Director and working on business development.
*Experienced at stakeholder relations in a client facing role.
*Management and mentoring of a small team
Capabilities and Qualifications:
Candidate must have:
*Degree in relevant engineering discipline preferable
*Hydraulic modelling using flood modeller (or other similar packages)
*Strong report writing abilities
*Demonstrative record of winning work
*Demonstrative project management experience
*A minimum of 5 years' experience
*Professional qualification (in process of would be considered).
*The ability to supervise junior staff
*Good knowledge and experience of Microdrainage.
*A strong team capability
