An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Heritage Consultant to join a highly regarded independent consultancy within their established team in Sheffield.
JSM are working exclusively with this prestigious firm to source a highly-established and well-regarded individual who will play a leading role in delivering major projects.
You will already have an established consultancy career but are looking for a new challenge and a step up from your current role.
*Managing small team of staff
*Working with the Heritage and Regional Manager to develop and grow business
*Effective leadership on projects
*Support in the winning of work and nurturing and managing client expectations
*Scoping, procuring and managing fieldwork
*Provision of heritage advise to clients, project managers and colleagues
*Preparing and reviewing impact assessments for historic environment and preparation of EIA
*Client facing on projects
*Business Development and client account management
*Technical report writing
*A relevant degree
*Specialism i.e. built heritage, landscapes, archaeology to support the business
*Knowledge of ArcGIS and CAD would be desirable
*Demonstrative experience in assessing heritage significance and setting
*Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeology (MCifA)
*Full knowledge of the planning process (including EIA) and relevant environmental/heritage legislation
*Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences.
*Excellent client relationships building skills.
*Experience of working in multi-disciplinary, multicultural international teams would be a distinct advantage.
