This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Air Quality Consultant to join this globally renowned multidisciplinary consultancy with a fantastic reputation for their culture, projects and career progression.
Candidates with a minimum of 5 years' experience looking to move your career to the next level should get in touch. You'll be joining at a time of significant growth, collaborating with other specialist disciplines working on exciting internal and external research projects.
The ideal candidate will be highly ambitious and have extensive knowledge of Air Quality consulting across a variety of development types.
You'll be based either in Cardiff or Bristol but working with our client's wider West Region which is a centre of excellence for environmental services.
You will play an active role within the leadership team at senior to principal grade depending on your experience. You will be able to develop your career further in a direction to suit you.

Requirements and Skills
·Depth and breadth of environmental impact assessment and air quality experience across a wide range of sectors.
·Demonstrable and high level of experience of undertaking air quality assessments for planning applications and writing air quality chapters for Environmental Impact Assessments.
·Possess a robust knowledge of simple and detailed dispersion models including DMRB, ADMS V5 and ADMS-Roads.
·Ability and experience of working with a range of client bodies, including both private sector (contractors, developers) and public sector (central and/or local government)
·Ability to explain complex processes and highly technical subject matters in a way that is understandable - using plain English.
·Ability to identify issues or risks that affect the delivery of a project
·Detailed knowledge of strategic and project level air quality and odour assessments and environmental impact assessments processes and strategies to support the securing of consents for major infrastructure projects
·Understanding of how to prepare documents and to advise clients on environmental issues at all levels - national through to local
·Development of key stakeholder relationships - environmental regulators, local authorities, community groups and government agencies
·Report and presentation skills including leading meetings
·Expert witness / public inquiry experience would be an advantage
·Preparation of tenders and proposals and taking a key role at interviews
·Input on the Management of multidisciplinary teams - and understanding of how to integrate the work of other disciplines (Engineering, Planning, Design)
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
·Significant air quality and environmental consultancy experience across multi-disciplinary projects;
·Substantial experience of drafting Environmental Statements, managing the preparation of specialist topic chapters (for air quality and odour) and liaising with clients / designers;
·Good track record of working with designers on large infrastructure projects, particularly within the energy and transport sectors;
·Ability to advise contractors during construction;
·Multi-disciplinary working with other groups (e.g. Planning, Transport and Project Management);
·Proven capacity for business development: promotion, marketing and bid preparation would be advantagious
·Attending client meetings;
·Financial accountability for projects and delivery within budget and programme plus wider contribution to financial performance for Natural Resources (Environment)
·Confident presenting to clients and key stakeholders and promoting a client's interests through the use of a wide range of presentation techniques.
·Degree and/or masters in environmental or air quality related topic
·Full member of Institute of Air Quality Management; Institution of Environmental Science; Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (or equivalent)
Desirable skills and knowledge:
·Demonstrable contribution to technical fora including IAQM, CIWEM, ICE and others
·A mix of both industry and consulting experience is desirable
·Able to quickly develop successful client relationships
