My client, is driving improvements and adaptations to meet future challenges across the Transport industry, are seeking to add to their transport economists team with someone with solid research and analytics experience.
The responsibilities of this role include critically assessing and reviewing ideas for research projects, preparing proposals and specifications, and providing advice to other researchers and project leaders.
You will be required to build your knowledge in the Transport sector, and also take a flexible approach to project work, adapting to support various projects depending upon urgency and importance, communicating with the project team and delivery manager accordingly.
You will help to develop the case for research, and ensure that it will benefit the sector and offer a good return on investment. You will also review the efficacy of the projects post-completion, and monitor the implementation of the findings across the industry.
You will be degree educated in a highly analytical discipline (i.e. scientific, technical, engineering, or mathematics), with experience gathering and analysing both qualitative and quantitative data. You must be adaptable, able to pick up new technical information and knowledge, and to work as part of a team who will not always be in the same location.
It is most important that you are keen to expand your experience in analytics, and are looking to aid research that makes a real difference to the UK Transport sector.
