Are you interested in joining one of the leading experts in inland oil spill response and remediation? As part of a strategically placed network of specialists, you will offer support to residential and commercial clients seeking oil spill mitigation services.
You will be providing crucial site support on remediation projects, regularly visiting sites to undertake the initial assessment before passing to your colleagues to implement remediation strategies. You'll see great variety in project work and often be attending different sites in the same day. You should like the practical nature of the role (enjoying being out on site is a must), but there is also plenty of opportunity to hone your technical and communication expertise and you'll be encouraged to progress into an environmental scientist roles which will see you undertaking more reporting and advising clients as you develop.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
Your positive work attitude and strong communication skills will instil a proactive approach to the way you undertake your daily responsibilities. You will enjoy communicating with different people including subcontractors, site managers and foreman.
You'll be based full time on sites across Cambridgeshire and be involved in a number of activities including site monitoring, environmental sampling, and coordination of onsite teams.
What do you need?
You'll likely be a recent graduate with an Environmental / Engineering related degree, but candidates from wider backgrounds may also be considered.
You'll have excellent communication skills and proven experience of undertaking field work as part of your degree. A Full Driving License is essential to undertake this role.
