Offshore Renewables - Lead Contract Manager, Central London
A significant role within the Iberdrola Offshore business based in our London Office, this role will negotiate and manage contracts within the O&M Offshore business and especially focus on the Service and Maintenance Agreements (SMA); including working closely with Contractors and teams from Iberdrola’s Construction, Operations, Legal, Insurance, Financial and Group Purchasing teams to ensure contracts are managed effectively.
Belonging to the O&M Services Team and Reporting to the Head of O&M Services the Lead Contract Manager will be responsible for defining contracting strategies and plans, tendering, negotiating and (in some cases) managing multi-million offshore Service contracts. This role will be responsible for identifying, assessing and creating procedures, to support site functions. In addition, the individual will manage contractual & commercial risks and seek out opportunities to optimise and drive the performance of the SMA contract.
You will be working as part of a global business with activities in many countries across Europe and the rest of the world. The position may require frequent travel to various locations in the UK and overseas. The role requires the individual to manage multi-disciplinary teams and the individual should be prepared to manage teams working at different project locations.
You will be degree qualified and have significant experience in commercial and contractual aspects of engineering with proven ability to manage the negotiation of multi-contracts in competing timescales within Offshore Wind; experience negotiating Service Maintenance agreement in Renewables Wind Industry is required, and have the flexibility to travel regularly to attend meetings and work at different project sites in a number of countries thought northern Europe and USA, particularly Germany, France, Denmark, Spain and England.
