My client has a long track record providing high level advice on planning matters and development projects to a range of clients. The business has built enviable relationships with many types of clients focussing on a broad range of sectors including retail, residential, commercial and industrial, leisure and tourism and infrastructure.
Due to ongoing success, my client has an exciting business plan, which sees the company grow and move in to new streams of planning related business, this is an opportunity to be part of this strategy.
You will be responsible for the provision of high quality heritage planning advice and support to private and public-sector clients as part of a professional and commercial team of experts. In particular:
*Critically review and evaluate permissions for development with heritage, historic landscapes and archaeology.
*Provide advice to clients and other consultants on heritage sites, listed buildings and conservation areas.
*Prepare statements of significance, characterisation assessments and conservation audits.
*Prepare visual impact assessments.
*Prepare heritage appraisals and statements.
*Appeals and expert witness.
*Delegate work and provide guidance to junior staff.
Flexible. There is an opportunity to be based in London, Leeds, Manchester or Birmingham.
If you are an ambitious and motivated individual (or small team) who is keen to meet the challenges of working in a highly commercial, professional consultancy practice.
You should have significant heritage expertise, having acted as an expert witness at public inquiry, and are ready to take on the challenge of leading the heritage business stream. You can demonstrate excellent project management skills, good financial awareness and a track record in business development.

You should be MRTPI with 10 plus years' experience.
