Greenspace Ecological Solutions are seeking an Ecologist and Senior Ecologist to join our team. The chosen candidates will manage projects, organise and undertake habitat and protected species surveys, provide ecological advice, technical reports and liaise directly with clients.
The Senior Ecologist role will include the production of tenders, EIA, EcIA, HRA and BREEAM assessments, whilst assisting in the mentoring of junior members of the team.
A proven ability to identify and facilitate ecological solutions is essential and all candidates must have strong project management and communication skills, be commercially aware, detail orientated and motivated to work both independently and as part of a team.

A proven track record of working within commercial ecological consultancy;
BSc or MSc in a relevant subject;
A member of CIEEM, for Senior level Full or Associate level membership is required;
Experience of conducting a range of ecological surveys and a good working knowledge of British fauna and flora;
Experience in the production of technical reports, method statements, management plans and in the design and implementation of cost and time efficient mitigation strategies;
Seniors require experience of the production of tenders, EIA, EcIA, EPSM licences and BREEAM assessments;
Detailed working knowledge of the planning process and policies and UK / EU wildlife legislation;
Hold one or more protected species licence (Level 2 Bat Licence desirable);
Proven track record of project management and client liaison within ecologiacl consultancy, allowing you to communicate clearly with clients, third parties (NE, LPAs) and colleagues;
Have a pro-active, forward thinking attitude, capable of working to tight timeframes when needed;

The salary and job specification are dependent on experience and skillset. Please note, dependent on job role and experience we may consider some remote and part time working. Applicants must have ecological consultancy experiance, be eligible to work in the UK/European Economic Area and hold a full UK driving licence with access to a car to use for work.
