Electronics Engineer – Research & Technology. Location: Norfolk. Salary: Up to £30K!

Green Recruitment Solutions are currently seeking an Electronics Engineer – Research & Technology for a clean-tech, advanced engineering company.

• Designing circuits, systems and devices or advancing existing technology
• Ensuring product functioning with devices developed by others, can be reproduced and is dependably and will perform reliably in indicated working condition
• Analogue design of current and voltage detecting framework and general signal conditioning
• Obtaining isolation through use of optical and transformer coupling paths
• Communications with standards including RS485, CAN, Ethernet
• Designing high speed processor hardware, particularly fast (>100 MHz) 16 and 32-bit micro-controllers and FPGAs (Actel/MicroSemi)
• Host systems interfacing
• Low Volume test systems designing and analyzing data
• New technical innovations feasibility studies
• Designing plans with computer-assisted engineering and outline programming
• Material, construction, labour costs and project timescales estimation
• Contributing to the progressing change of the standard outline process
• Developing test apparatuses to permit quality assessment of electronic products
• Accomplishing test data demonstrating compliance to specification
• Technicians and craftspeople coordination
• Ensuring projects meet electrical and safety regulations
• Inspection and maintenance programmes supervision
• Attending meetings, writing reports and giving presentations to managers and clients
• Other duties as required

Essential Requirements:
• A Candidate with an Engineering degree in Electronic Engineering1 experienced in an Engineering capacity
• Should have 3 to 8 years’ experience of working within an engineering or manufacturing based organisation
• Experienced within Energy/ Automotive industry
• Knowledgeable with theoretical and practical aspects of electronic engineering & programming
• Well informed of power electronics and embedded C on FPGA

Desired Requirements:
• Experience of 2 to 5 years supporting Electronic design in the delivery of development projects
• Experience of High frequency high power DC-DC converters and motor controllers and High torque electric motors
• Well aware of New Product Introduction (NPI) product lifecycle Joint Production Development (JDP), Primary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), First Article Inspection (FAI)
