An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sustainability Consultant where there are short term prospects for career development into an Associate Director. Alternatively our client may consider someone at AD level already.
You’ll be joining a team of a dozen or so dedicated sustainability consultants working in the property management division of a global real estate practice that is inundated in work and is thus able to select work that is more interesting and quality driven. You will work with a range of clients from large banks, investors, asset managers and independent owners delivering largely operational property bias energy & sustainability advisory work.
As an Associate within the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the service line, managing key clients, overseeing fee earning income and managing a member of staff. This role is specifically focused on overseeing our clients GRESB real estate assessment and benchmarking work. Working with in excess of 14 clients you will have responsibility for delivering this but you will also oversee a consultant focused on providing BREEAM In-use and EMS and will also have the opportunity to work on broader sustainability advisory work.
The structure and management of the team is flexible and dynamic in nature –whether you crave variety in your work or have a preference to focus on a specific service line, the team will work with you to help you find the right balance.
We’re looking for Sustainability consultants or Senior Sustainability consultants who have ideally a significant track record in delivering GRESB. However, we will consider applicants who have some knowledge of GRESB and experience in a relevant submission / sustainability reporting process such as CDP. Whilst you will be overseeing resource focused on delivering BREEAM in-use and EMS (ISO14001), experience of this is not imperative. However, you will be expected to demonstrate an ability to pick up knowledge in this area.
Other work streams that the team get involved in and which may require some support include delivering client specific sustainability strategies, carrying out comprehensive energy, waste and water data management including ESOS, EPC’s, MEES, Electric vehicle charging and transport planning, occupier engagement and improvement schemes, social value and wellbeing, and CSR.
Applicants must have c.4 years prior experience of working within sustainability consultancy and GRESB or Sustainability Reporting. You should hold a relevant degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability or equivalent and any exposure to BREEAM In-use and / or EMS would be advantage.
