Contaminated Land Project Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contaminated Land specialist to join an established team working a wide ranging variety of projects, based from the clients Staffordshire office. Working with like minded people in an environment where you can take ownership of projects, you will co-ordinate site work and assist in preparation of cost proposals. This will include supervising the investigation of potentially contaminated land and the remediation of these sites. The project work is varies working for developers, contractors, local authority and regulatory bodies.
Candidates would be expected to have previous work experience as an Environmental Scientist with responsibilities for Phase I & II site investigations. You would also be required to have working knowledge of current regulations and guidance, drilling techniques and remediation strategies. Previous experience in dealing with remediation projects would be a distinct advantage. Project size varies and you will be given the opportunity to take projects from initial design stage through to implementation and completion. The role will involve leading and working with a multi-skilled team (to include the management of drilling sub-contractors); technical reviews, interpretative report writing; liaison and meetings with clients and regulatory authorities; and ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines.
Academically you will be required to be degree level qualification in an appropriate scientific discipline (Environmental Science, Earth Science, or similar). Following on from this you will need to have extensive experience (4yrs+) and a strong commercial background in contaminated land / remediation; including project management experience.
