Our client is a well-established and highly respected landscape consultancy with a long history of delivering environmental services and masterplanning. Ecology is a core service, which compliments their offering of landscape architecture and arboricultrual services. If you are a consultant ecologist who can hit the ground running and, are looking to join a friendly and close-knit team of environmental professionals, then we would like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilites

You will work on a range of ecological projects, requiring a mix of field and office-based skills. Current clients include a broad spectrum of public and private sectors organizations, with project work ranging from sensitive historical sites to large scale multi-phased mixed development projects. You will often collaborate with the two other specialist teams (landscape and arboriculture) to deliver client requirements.

In addition to delivering existing project work, you will be supported by the team leader and other senior staff to secure new ecology work. Involved in all stages of project development from tendering through to completion, you will also play a role in mentoring and training more junior team members.

You will benefit from access to external training in addition to internal training session from a highly experienced in-house team.

Key Requirements

* Degree in ecology or related field
* Good knowledge with UK ecological issues, including relevant planning policy and legislation
* Proven experience in project management, including survey design and survey team management, project financial management and the delivery of Ecological Impact Assessments, research reports and EPS licenses
* Full UK driving licence is required
