We’re looking for an experienced individual with excellent people and project management to support the Flood and Water Team Manager in delivering our responsibilities under the Flood and Water Management Act 2010.
You’ll lead a small team responsible for reviewing drainage strategies and flood risk assessments submitted as part of planning applications for major developments. Your team will also provide technical advice and guidance to Local Planning Authorities and stakeholders, undertake ordinary watercourse regulations under the Land Drainage Act 1991 and develop stakeholder and service improvements.
With at least 5 years’ relevant experience managing and delivering flood risk plans, projects, consultee or regulatory cases, you’ll be confident in assessing complex technical information against national and local polices. You’ll have experience of working on drainage and surface water management along with up to date knowledge of statutory, policy, SuDS theory and best practice.
