From our iconic Guildhall headquarters, to Tower Bridge and the Barbican, the City of London Corporation manages many sites of historical, political and strategic importance, as well as portfolio of high-value commercial properties. With a long-term target of reducing energy consumption by 40% by 2026 from the 2008-09 levels, we have the potential to make a big impact on the UK’s overall sustainability. We have a commitment both to measuring our energy performance with integrity and to finding new and innovative ways to meet our targets.

The role

Based in the City Surveyor’s Department you will develop and manage an energy reporting and diagnostics system for this unique property portfolio, located in the Square Mile and beyond. This will include being the systems administrator for SystemsLink, our monitoring and targeting database. You will gather and import diverse data (such as meter readings and weather reports) then interpret site energy use. By identifying energy performance and savings opportunities solutions, your work will be pivotal in helping us achieve our carbon reduction and sustainability targets.

About you

With experience of working in an energy consultancy or advisory environment, you’ll have a good knowledge of the energy market-place, including energy procurement, and be familiar with value-driven energy solutions.
