Environmental Scientist – Contaminated Land - Cambridge

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading specialist environmental consultancy, who operate across a network offices in the UK. They are looking for a contaminated land specialist to join their established Cambridge office, working alongside senior consultants on the delivery of high quality contaminated land projects.

The project portfolio is diverse and is a unique opportunity to manage a number of projects right through from inception to completion and the role will have a balanced split across both office and site based work.

The successful candidate should have a degree, science, construction or engineering based, and at least 2 years relevant industry experience. Commercial awareness and a working knowledge of site investigation and remediation techniques or construction management is also desirable. The position involves project, client and customer management including managing multiple projects, budget control, mentoring staff, site investigations, technical report writing and reviewing.

You will need to be motivated, have good organisational and problem solving skills, sound commercial awareness with an understanding of project budgets and timelines. The position also requires the ability to interact with other members of a multi-disciplinary team as well as professional clients, sub-contractors.
