Procurement Manager - £42,000 per annum - Progression offered
A UK Leading public sector organisation in the Education sector is looking for a Procurement Manager to be part of a well established team.
The role will be to provide procurement excellence and value for money through the implementation of professional, efficient and effective procurement practices to allow the organisation to build on its professional reputation to its numerous stakeholders both internally and externally.
Define, develop and lead a defined portfolio of procurement categories
Undertake the full tender and manage all contracts within your portfolio
Build effective collaborative relationships with stakeholders to promote a responsive, agile and professional department.
Manage procurement procedures and processes and remain up to date on legislation, regulations, industry best practice, and any other relevant guidelines
Supplier identification, selection and qualification
Provide expertise and guidance in best procurement practise to colleagues
Produce and present reports to support other function within the organisation
Manage a Procurement Assistant
Undertake any other duties as requested by the Head of Procurement.
Educated to a degree standard or equivalent relevant qualification with the appropriate breath of experience
Fully Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) qualified by examination or equivalent
Proven substantial experience in a procurement function
