About the role:
This role will be responsible for coordinating and driving improvement in the areas of Performance Management, Business Development, Knowledge Management and other cross cutting priorities to increase the Group’s mission impact and financial resilience.
We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual with strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills. This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work closely with the executive leadership team to implement our group-wide growth strategy, taking responsibility to lead specific work streams and change management activities.

We work closely with decision makers and implementers in key institutions in the UK and across multiple emerging and developing countries on low-carbon finance, programmes, policy and technology.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The Manager’s specific responsibilities will vary depending on strategic priorities, but will likely include the following:
Performance management
Define and support the roll out of best practice performance measurement across the group to track delivery against our three-year strategic plan
Define and support ongoing KPI reporting
Identify areas for performance improvement and work with our business units to help them put plans in place to capture these opportunities
Business Development
Define and support the roll out of best practice business development processes across the group
Lead our group wide process for learning and continuously improving our approach to business development
Monitor and allocate tender opportunities across the group
Put in place performance tracking for our key business development processes
Identify areas of improvements and work with our business units to help them to implement then
Knowledge management (KM)
Review and update our KM strategy
Work with each of our customer facing business units to help them implement best practice KM
Put in place performance tracking for our key KM processes
Strategic projects
Lead cross cutting group strategic projects
Key skills we are looking for:
Leadership skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues across all teams to implement change
Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships and influence decision-making
Ability to think and work independently, taking the initiative and ‘ownership’ of tasks, having strong organisational and time management skills
Strong proficiency in MS Office suite of tools:
Proven ability to use MS Excel for complex problem solving and analysis
Experience in using MS PowerPoint and Word for communication and report writing
Experience in Microsoft Dynamics, PowerBI and SharePoint is an advantage
A good understanding of the Carbon Trust’s activities and areas of expertise is also an advantage
Qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s degree educated (or equivalent) 2:1 or above
Demonstrable experience working in an analytical role(s) in business or market analysis and/or consultancy, with significant personal project delivery responsibility required
Knowledge of emission reduction and environmental sustainability consulting is an advantage
Salary & Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary and a performance-based bonus. Our hours are 37.5 per week with 28 days paid holiday plus bank holidays and a generous pension scheme.
