Procurement Change Manager, Fixed Term 18 month contract
Band H, £39,880 to £43,857 per annum
An exciting new opportunity is available at the heart of a multimillion pound business, providing a wide range of services to over 4,300 council tenants, 97,000 residents and 4,000 businesses across North West Leicestershire. The team is at the centre of the council’s journey to self-sufficiency, a strategy that will enable the council to remain financially resilient in the midst of responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and future local government funding changes.
The Procurement Change Manager will oversee a key strategic project that changes the way the Council procures and manages its contracts whilst leading the council’s corporate procurement function. The role will lead on the design and implementation of a new service model for procurement and simultaneously develop the organisations managers and leaders to become self-sufficient and proficient in all things relating to procurement.
The successful applicant will ideally hold a CIPS qualification, have a strong background in managing change and be proficient in translating business strategies into sustainable practical solutions in the public sector. You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work with a range of stakeholders.
